The Firm is experienced in mechanic's lien laws, and a member has provided comments to the currently pending California Law Review Commission's proposed revisions to the mechanic's lien laws.
The Firm is experienced in landlord tenant matters, including unlawful detainer under California law, and the interplay of the same in bankruptcy, as well as complex damage issues arising in bankruptcy under Section 506 of the Bankruptcy Code.

The Firm has acted as counsel for Chapter 11 trustees in the reorganizations or sales of hotels across the country.
The Firm represented the Chapter 11 Trustee of a high-profile hotel in Beverly Hills, successfully confirming a plan of reorganization funded by the sale of the hotel
and avoidable recoveries.

The Firm represented the Chapter 11 Trustee of an individual developer who owned a number of large parcels of real property in various stages of development, including large residential tracts and parcels under development for
big box stores. The principal secured creditor staked out a position at the beginning of the case adverse to the Debtor and the Trustee, and the Trustee was able to forestall foreclosure of the properties thus enabling the Trustee to ultimately confirm a plan of reorganization providing for the sale of the properties for the benefit of creditors and paid a 100 cent dividend to creditors with interest. In that regard, he had to first deal with hundreds of secured (mechanic's lien) and unsecured creditors and scores of tax claims, secured and unsecured, in a number of different counties. |

The Firm represented the trustee in a Ponzi scheme case that held almost two dozen large rental properties. This case spawned a number of reported decisions before the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court and ultimately, after careful management of the properties, also resulted in a 100 cent dividend to creditors, with interest. |

case with 17 real properties in Southern California,
where the Trustee, with the Firm's assistance,
