Ms. Knupfer was admitted to the California Bar in 1990. Her educational background is as follows: Antioch University (B.A. 1986); Southwestern University School of Law (J.D. 1990).

She is a member of the American, California, Los Angeles County and Beverly Hills Bar Associations, the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees, American Bankruptcy Institute, Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum (Director, 2000 through 2004), and Financial Lawyers Conference. From 2002 to present Ms. Knupfer has been a member of the Board of Governors for the Beverly Hills Bar Association. She presently serves as President-Elect.

Ms. Knupfer serves as a Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 Trustee appointed by the United States Trustee for the Central District of California, as well as a Chapter 11 Examiner.

Ms. Knupfer also serves as Special Master in the Los Angeles Superior Court as well as a state court receiver.

Before completing her education, Ms. Knupfer headed the Syndicated Loan and Project Finance Department for the NORD/LB International S.A. in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, specializing in sovereign lending, and was later responsible for Eurocurrency loans and trade finance for a major Norwegian bank. She opened the first United States office of a large Danish commercial bank. Ms. Knupfer is fluent in German and Norwegian and can communicate in Spanish, French and Luxembourgish.
